The Honeybee Cottage

The Honeybee Cottage is a charming little cottage on a 140-acre hobby farm in Janesville, Iowa.

The hobby farm is aptly named “Star’s Hollow” as a stay here is heavenly! There are groomed trails for hiking, multiple spaces for relaxing, and an array of animals eager to interact with you as much or as little as you desire.

You can even run a foot race against a pig, but be forewarned; the pig will likely win. She has clearly had a lot of practice!

There is also quite a variety of wildlife present on the property. Guests may have the opportunity to see wild turkeys, deer, owls, and bald eagles. During our stay, we were blessed with a visit from a cute little tree frog, seen here with Penny (one of the hosts of Star’s Hollow).

Whether spending the day curled up with a good book or viewing the local wildlife, Star’s Hollow offers a serene escape from the noisy and busy outside world.

There are two possible places to stay at Star’s Hollow. The first is Bella’s Suite which is attached to the main house.

The second is Honeybee Cottage which is filled with thoughtful touches.

Every detail holds special meaning and encourages reflection and relaxation.

The Honeybee Cottage overlooks a peaceful pond on its very own beach.

It is likely, however, that guests will be sharing the pond with some feathered friends.

Just beyond the pond are the true stars of Star’s Hollow: the bees. They form a mesmerizing flight pattern as they work steadily creating the most delicious honey!
