Guests will feel as if the Hobbit will return at any moment. The space is designed to feel real, not staged. The pathway leading to the Hobbit hut is lined with pots and vegetation alongside a full garden where visitors can enjoy fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden when in season.

Staying at Hobbit’s Dream is an experience far beyond merely a place to rest. The mailbox holds personalized mail and small gifts for visitors.

When guests arrive at the front gate to Hobbit’s Dream, there is no doubt what lies beyond the gate is a magical place.

The view from the front entrance of Hobbit’s Dream overlooks a pond and cottage that has been remodeled to fit the landscape of Tolkien’s The Hobbit. There is even a Buckleberry Ferry where guest can enjoy a drink or meal while floating across the pond.

No detail is left to chance.  Hand forged swords, hand crafted brooms, and even a miner’s helmet grace the walls.

For the more adventurous guests, the hosts offer workshops on carving walking sticks, making wooden pipes, and crafting straw brooms in a nearby building. There is an additional fee, but well-worth the time invested!

This was the perfect place for us to read The Hobbit while immersing ourselves in the life of a hobbit at Hobbit’s Dream.
