The Casa Kachina is a charming casita near the famous Turquois Trail in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
This detached dwelling is on private property behind the host’s home. It is a rather remote location with plenty of parking and incredible terrain. The entrance is marked with delightful adobe artist’s gate followed by a flagstone paved garden and walkway.
The front porch offers a protected seating area.
Inside is quite spacious with a functional kitchen, comfortable dining and sitting area, and a cozy bedroom.
The bedroom windows provide views of the majestic San Marcos plateau.
There is even an opportunity to purchase handmade tiles similar to those in the casita.
A rugged walking trail extends behind the Casa Kachina offering guests the opportunity to more fully engage with the local land.
At the end of the walking trail, guests can enjoy a labyrinth.
Guests staying at the Casa Kachina should definitely check out the artsy town of Madrid. It is less than 10 minutes away and well worth the drive. Great food, unique shopping, and fantastic people!
